HAIKUS: 2021 By Peter Y. Chou WisdomPortal.com |
Since 2007, I've been writing two haikus each day. Thanks to classical music on KDFC 102.1 FM that wakes me each morning, I've composed haikus on my mood to the music played. I've also added web links to the composers, music, midi, MP3, or YouTube files for my own reference as well as sharing them with readers. On January 24, 2011, KDFC stopped broadcasting classical music to the South Bay Area and was replaced by KFOX 102.1 FM with rock music. Now, I link to articles from NY Times, San Jose Mercury News, Harvard Gazette, Stanford Report, as well as news on poetry and spiritual enlightenment. After 18 months, KDFC's classical music was restored to the South Bay on 104.9 FM on June 15, 2012. So I've resumed haikus to classical music as well as solving the anagrams Jumble Puzzle, and videos from Yahoo! News. These haikus were written as exercises in mindfulness an attempt to catch fleeting moments in my daily walks, while reading, listening to music, and pondering about life.
