I brought you no flowers
today Mom and Dad for
there's always a flower in
my heart in gratitude for
all the beautiful moments
you have given to my life.

I brought you no flowers
today Mom and Dad for
you taught me to see flowers
everywhere, that miracles
surround us at every turn
when we live a blessed life.

I brought you no flowers
today Mom and Dad for
you are the flowers still
blooming though you've gone to
that other shore, your fragrance
lingers in those who love you.

I brought you no flowers
today Mom and Dad for
I'm the flower you seeded
and nourished with much love
that I now share joy with all
so I return to thank you.
